Pettinaro is a family-owned and operated full-service vertically integrated real estate company based in Newport, Delaware. The company was founded in 1965 by Verino Pettinaro, who based the construction company out of his garage. Pettinaro has grown tremendously over the years and now owns and operates properties in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Florida. Since 2005, the company has been under the leadership of Verino’s son, Gregory Pettinaro. The Pettinaro companies currently employ over 200 individuals.
Pettinaro's commercial portfolio consists of retail, office, mixed-use, industrial, and land properties totaling over 4.5 million square feet. Additionally, landholdings are available for build-to-suit opportunities of up to 2 million additional approved square feet. Pettinaro Management, LLC strives to provide the highest level of customer service to over 500 tenants across the portfolio.
Pettinaro Residential, LLC consists of more than 3,000 existing apartment homes located in Delaware, Maryland, and Florida. With the increased demand for multi-family housing, several of these communities are planning to undergo expansions, adding several hundred apartments to the residential portfolio.
In response to the growing needs of the Wilmington business community in the late 90s, Cindy Pettinaro Wilkinson founded a corporate rental division. This division simplifies the relocation process for companies or individuals by offering flexible term leases in luxury apartments, condominiums, and townhomes at select Pettinaro Residential communities.
Pettinaro’s award-winning in-house architecture and construction division, Pettinaro Construction Company, Inc. (PCCI), provides support across the portfolio. Designing and constructing both commercial and residential structures, PCCI works directly with our customers to execute customized construction tailored to their needs.
Over the past 50 years, Pettinaro has made a major impact on the landscape in Delaware by revitalizing old, tired properties into exclusive places to work and live. Pettinaro has continued to grow its diverse portfolio through acquisitions and development while remaining a one-stop-shop for leasing, property management, and construction.
